Frogmouths in Chifley

Consulting my records, over the past 3 years, of the pair resident in our garden the male has "assumed the position" on the nest between 2 and 7 September - ie within the next week.  However thus far I have not spotted evidence of nest building in the site they used last year, so either 
  • they are moving house (although they are using a roost close to last years nest very frequently); 
  • the nest is going to be built very quickly  (in 2010 it took 2 weeks); or
  • they are going to have a late start (in 2008 the male moved on to the nest in early October)

The frogmouths are just beginning to lay now, most are sitting nearby their nest sites or part-built nests. So that's me busy until Christmas, when I expect the last chicks to fledge.
