Today I observed in the Salvos shop at Tuggeranong Square, a large stock of new 10 X 50 binoculars for sale (The shop mostly stocks used items). The price of each is $10. I tried one and can report the visual quality is - well, I suppose as good as can be expected for $10 binoculars. But if you are looking for a trial one for children or someone in the late stages of a terminal illness who is just starting on bird watching, it might be a good option. Philip |
