Please can someone help me identify this  bird.  No photo, I’m afraid.  Callum Brae this morning.

The bird was about the size of a black-faced cuckoo-shrike and I had heard them in the area.  However this one seemed more of a fawnish colour.  Its flight pattern was distinctive, alternating between flapping it wings and folding them, in a rhythm as follows:  1 – 2 - 3 – fold, 1 – 2 – 3 – fold, 1 – 2 – 3 – fold.

Any suggestions much appreciated.
