The local Winter status of the Rufous Whistler over the two years Is not clear.  Probably small number are present in the woodlands unobtrusively.  This June they were reported on 8 days, which is such a contrast with the one I July that it might represent a drift away.  However, being so quiet they are likely to be overlooked.
