If you are ever able to catch a bird with beak and feather disease, do so. It is important to remove them from the parrot population as they are actively spreading the disease. Take them to the RSPCA. cheers, Marg On Sun, Aug 5, 2012 at 5:58 PM, mariko buszynski <> wrote: I read that two gang-gang were euthanised in an article in Canberra bird notes. Could one of these be the one I observed earlier this year in our garden in Hughes. A male gang-gang with abnormally long beaks was piteously calling loudly. I gave out some seeds and he ate them while twisting his head. We felt sorry but then we did not know about the COG and did not know what to do. Next time when I see such a bird I would send a report to this chat line. -- Marg Peachey 0450 961 530 www.feathersandquills.com |
