The other day I went four kilometres past Cooma to where a swam nest had been built in the middle of a paddock next to the highway on the way to Nimitabel whilst in the paddock I observed three swamp harriers dragging their legs through the grass, Two brown falcon watching the harriers, three wedge tails hovering over head and one kestrel all within a 20 acre block, poor little quails must had a stressful day with all that attention.

The swans also were of interest as they have eggs at the moment not bad considering the last time a lake had floored in that spot was in the 1960's.
