When I (& family) went to Melbourne on 2 & 3 January (on the only very hot days we had in the summer) we stayed overnight at a motel in Albury. There was a group of Blue-faced Honeyeaters with dy, in the garden of the motel. So that is a wide range of dates.

At Holbrook petrol station yesterday 4/7/12 was a begging juvenile Blue-faced Honeyeater, seems a very early breeding event even given the official season of June-February for NSW where you might assume the early date applied in the north. In Victoria (close to Holbrook obviously) breeding is recorded (HANZAB) in Nov-Jan with one exception in Sept.
