It could probably be described as a good season for BSKs as I counted 6,  all hovering, while travelling the  Hume/Federal Highways between Sutton Forest and Lake George yesterday, along with a Nankeen Kestrel and another raptor, possibly a Little Eagle. Like Dennis, I didn't have time to stop at Rowes Lagoon but a quick glance revealed quite a few birds, species unknown, on the surface of the water.   Also seen were a Pacific Heron near Lake George and 4 Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos just north of Goulburn.  Last week similar numbers of BSKs were sighted along the Kings Highway between Braidwood and Queanbeyan.

Cheers
