I also went to Lake Ginninderra, but on the 27th

-John Knight Memorial Park. (11:10): 19 species, incl 1 silent Aust Reed Warbler, which came out of hiding after observing for 10 minutes. 9 WW choughs, 2 Masked lapwings, 1 white plume, 5 seagulls, 2 spotted pardalotes, 2 red wattlebirds, 23 moorhens, 27 black ducks, 1 LP cormorant, 1 Aust grebe. Plus 1 golden whistler, a species I have been seeing a lot.
-To East bridge (we need a name) (11:35): 13 species, incl 2 spotted pardalotes, 2 redbrows, 1 grey currawong, 1 wh plume, 1 red wattleb,
-Ginninderra Reach (Lawson) 12:10 : 14 species- 1 darter, 1 cisticola, 1 golden whistler, 2 kookaburras on the telephone line, 2 hoary headed grebes (strange I thought at the time),
-Diddams Park SE {renamed} (12:35): 17 species- 6 Moorhens, 6 Hoary headed grebes 'bathing' incessantly, 3 Aust grebes, 2 ML, 2 aggressive white plumes, 14 starlings, 2 striated pardalotes.
-G Penninsula 1pm- 500m transect 35 minutes: 23 species- 2 striated pardalotes, 3 white plumes, 2 Aust grebes (near Dam), 2 swans, 1 darter, 2 grey teal, 3 wood d, 1 GST, 1 spinebill. No crested shrike tits which were my target.

-Western Foreshores. After the targeted bird surveying above I was getting a bit over the process. So decided to chill out at Bargang/ Boat ramp area on the Western Foreshores. (4pm- 5:20): 30 species, including 2 Aust Reed Warblers, 2 swans with 2 dy- I estimate between 2-3 weeks old. 3 domestic ducks (white- Peking), 2 WF herons, 1 darter, 3 striated P and 5 spotted pardalotes, 2 red wattlebirds, 1 GST, 12 white plumes, 22 redrumps, 4 kings, 24 swamphens, 39 moorhens, 42 black ducks, 14 magpie larks, 7 willie wagtails, and at dusk walking back to Belco a roost site with 27 seagulls, 13 Masked lapwings, 22 woodducks.
