This little puddle of water is now maintained with a constant water level (prior to this is had been bare mud for several years). It has resident Wood Ducks and Black Ducks (the latter in company with a misbegotten domestic duck), but various surprising blow-ins turn up. I have seen Little Pied Cormorant, Little Black Cormorant, White-faced Heron, and yesterday a Hardhead! John Leonard |
