I heard a Superb Lyrebird at Kambah Pool again,
at 4:30 today. This time almost from the main car park. As on all previous
times, it is far away, on the Bullen Range, on the other side of the Murrumbidge
River.

Kambah Pool
Most years I write a message to this list about
the closest place from Canberra to hear a Superb Lyrebird. Well it is there
again, or two this time. Directions are, take the walking track from Kambah Pool towards Pine Island. Stop and listen where the big
powerlines cross overhead (about 20 minutes walk time from the carpark). The
birds can be heard singing from the opposite side of the river. I heard it
yesterday but not a week ago.
