A trip to the recently re-opened Pinnacle reserve in Hawker this afternoon yielded the usual suspects, including Tawny Frogmouths (pair), Grey Fantails, Yellow-rumped, Buff-rumped, Striated and Brown Thornbills, Weebills, Superb Fairy-wrens, White-throated Treecreepers and a lone male Scarlet Robin; but also 2 Varied Sittellas, a small flock of 15 Brown-headed Honeyeaters and, as a parting bonus, a trio of Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos settling in to roost.
