thanks to spot-on tip off by Lindell I obtained  a great sighting of this bird at 1110 this morning, Sunday.Creeping slowly along the path  towards the Visitors Centre only a few metres  past the CSIRO gate on my left, a resplendent male bird hopped out of low undergrowth on  the  right to pose very briefly for me, as it were, on the path only about  5 metres away. Hope to catch up with  many of you on next Wednesday's Lake George expedition. Terry B.
