ç¾9~˪}÷^7ß?´÷M´çMµÓ COG member Jacqui Malins was hoping to put a notice in Gang-Gang, but missed the deadline. However, some members may be interested in this exhibition. ___________________________ I have an art exhibition opening this Friday night 27 April, running until Sunday 13 May at Belconnen Arts Centre. There aren’t any birds in it, but my drawings are based on the environment of Mulligans Flat and Goorooyaroo nature reserves, which I am sure are very familiar to many COG members. The exhibition is connected with heritage week. My drawings are accompanied by sculptures by Rosina Wainwright about the life of Maria Crinigan, who lived in Crinigan’s stone cottage, the ruins of which are in Amaroo, from 1842 to 1863. and from the advertising flyer : Jacqui Malins’ accompanying charcoal and pastel drawings on paper and canvas explore the subdued colours and dry textures of the Monaro plains. Her response to this landscape is both a visual complement and emotional contrast with the history of Maria Crinigan. ___________________________ COG member Jacqui Malins was hoping to put a notice in Gang-Gang, but missed the deadline.
