Just came back form staying with a friend at Captains Flat.
Lots and lots of yellow faced honeyeaters passing over his property, (and also
there have been a large number passing over higgins in the last two days as
well)
a few white throated tree creepers, and lots of calls from what I'm pretty sure
were golden whistlers.
Highlight was seeing a trio of brown thornbills roosting about a metre from the
ground when we were walking after dark.
On the way back around midday today, I saw 3 black shouldered kites and a brown
falcon. That seems a lot of B-SKs for a small stretch of road, it must be a
good mouse year.
