I hesitate to say this, but 'falcon' implies the bird is a she.  The male (ie 'he') would be a tiercel. 

So Attenborough is not an issue and Sandras message should be construed as the 'he' being a reference to the erstwhile photographer.

A member of the public has emailed to say that a peregrine falcon appears to have taken up residence at 40 Marcus Clarke St in the city. He's trying to get some photos.
