David,

 

You are correct with your identification of the Brown-headed Honeyeater but it is not adult, it is a juvenile and from the look of the bird, it is not long out of the nest. The adults look quite different.

Hi everyone

 

I was at Mulligan's Flat a few weeks ago and saw these birds all around me along with rufous whistlers and grey fantails. I think it is a brown headed honeyeater.

Am I right?
