The Wednesday walk in April will be at Tharwa Sandwash, starting 9am on the 18th.  Please meet in the carpark at the Sandwash.  If you've not been there before, go through Tharwa towards the Namadgi Visitor Centre, but turn off to the left (Smiths Rd) just past the model aeroplane flying site, then turn onto the dirt road off to left a little after the bailey bridge over Gudgenby R.
Visited the sandwash today (Sun 8th) and got 35 species, including scarlet and yellow robins, speckled warblers, dusky woodswallow, wt treecreeper, red-browed finches, wf heron and brown goshawk.  I noted too that the "steps" going up to main track from the track on same level as carpark have been eliminated by a huge pile of fill, presumably to sort out an erosion problem.
