Subject: | Whistling Kites at Mt Taylor |

This afternoon I went to Mt Taylor
(did my usual stroll along the lower west slopes). When I was at the lower dam at the bend on the
track, at 17:35, I saw
two Whistling Kites fly slowly
westward above me,
probably over Drakeford Drive towards
Arawang. They were going fairly high and
directly and clearly travelling together. I'm confident that is the
first time I have seen this species at that
site.
