Only two of our (ACT) frogs are capable of climbing over metal fences e g Litoria peronii and L verreauxii but it's usually the Common Eastern Froglet Crinia signifera and Spotted Grass Frog Limnodynastes tasmaniensis that turn up in backyard ponds and rely on gaps in/under fences to get there. Some probably get in as froglets.

The dorsal pattern of these frogs except L. per have very variable back patterns and other features are sometimes required to ID them.
