Robin,

 

Before the various subspecies were lumped into one species the local birds were called Orange-winged Sittella.

Managed to take time out for a brief stroll this afternoon on the lower SE slopes of Mt. Ainslie - not exactly a hive of activity - probably most satisfying to see was a half dozen or so Varied Sitella ... I must confess I hadn't previously noticed the flash of brown on their wings.
