Expert opinion  (Geoffrey Dabb- working with a larger image) removes my very doubtful waterborne SCC, and replaces it with a juvenile or female darter whichs seem far more likely.

And the right hand blob, like Julian-   - "one of the black corms, probably little going by size  -  but size is not reliable at that range, and great is more likely to be solitary."

To my naked eye, at that distance, the blob looked cormorant-like...the left hand one didn't even register- only emerging in the snap!

But any perch is better than none?

SCCockatoo?? on the left of the debris and ?? on the right. (Unfortunately no binoculars at hand...)
