Bob I am afraid that your time in Tassie and the South Coast has led your geography down a blind alley wrt to the subspecies of blind mullet (Mugil stultus) likely to be exploring Kellys Swamp. This is not the highly desirable Green ssp (M. s. viridatum) from Wamboin, and indeed Carwoola, but the aggressive and strongly pro-development species that lurks in Jerrabomberra (M, s, giovannidomenicobarilaro) and will swim in down the creek.
