but has an  injured leg at a  right angle to it's body. I am relaying this message on behalf of Terry Munro whose email yesterday has failed to get through. Saved from a neighbours cat Terry M. has relocated the unmistakeable young koel to his backyard in Higinbotham St and it is scrambling around on the ground , being fed bya pair of  wattle birds . It seems to have very stunted tail feathers which may be a feature of this species. Survival is debateable and perhaps COG members visiting the area for the Mt. Majura mid-week tomorrow would like to  call in to see it where they will be made welcome by Helen and Terry Munro
