And you can
see on it that they have given a clear impression of the ragged inner secondary
feathers, which are a match to the feather that John asked about.
Curiously the field guides describe that feature in the
text and show it on the pictures of perched birds although it is not
shown on the birds in flight.

That "White Ibis" would certainly give kids nightmares... and I
definitely could see it in a horror film...
