Hi,
I noticed a comment on
the front-page of Gang-Gang
which I received today, stating that the wetter
conditions had had no effect on
the success of birds breeding. I wish to state
that our experience is
Fraser has been very different. Striated
Pardalotes nested three times, and
today we six of them perched on a wire. We had
both Willie Wagtails and
Magpie-Larks breeding in close proximity on one of
our large Eucalypts.
The Willie Wagtails produced two broods, one from
the first and two from the
second. The Magpie-Larks also produced one from
the first and one from the
second.
