The following has been received from ACTEWAGL.

I write to advise you that ActewAGL, on behalf of ACTEW Corporation, will be clearing excess vegetation on the earthen embankment lagoons at the Fyshwick Sewage Treatment Plant to allow us to assess the condition of the banks.

The ACT Rural Fire Service will perform the vegetation clearing through a controlled burn-off at the site, located between Dairy Flat Road and the Monaro Highway. The general area is shown in the attached photos.

The ACT Rural Fire Service has proposed to conduct the initial burn-off on Thursday 19 January 2012, from 6.30pm, subject to weather conditions, with the balance of the burn-off to be completed on Saturday 21 January 2012.
