In the first pond opposite the gates to the Wetlands 8 Pink Eared Ducks amongst Hardheads, Coots, and abundant Black Ducks.

Further to the end of this pond one Dotterel appears to be sitting in a scrape in dry mud (where the wate recedes) while the other runs along the E W edge of the pond.  The bill of the bird on the scrape appears to be paler in colour than that of the other bird.  The bird on the scrape returned to the same place twice and eventually stayed there as I passed on.  I am guessing this was a nest?  Any comments please?

No Plumed Whistling Ducks at the Wetlands.
