How many red-beaked terns have a mottled dark grey coloured belly like
Steve's? Not a Caspian as far as I know.

Except, Steve, your stay-at-home Cogger is unlikely to see a Whiskered Tern
in such breeding condition. Possible, I suppose, but not typical.

But he or she must travel far-er
To see a
Crest-tailed Mulgara.

Hi All,
The attached shows a little of recent activity in our garden.
The Little Ravens nested in the top of one of our old pine trees.
Later adult & young seen feeding out from our kitchen.
Nothing upsets our Cunningham skinks. Violent thunderstorms last night,
skinks out this morning enjoying peace & quite.
3rd. photo - taken in Sept. on Ethabuka Station, east Simpson Desert - camel
safari.
                  - may help some 'coggers' with Whiskered tern
indentification.
4th. photo - excitement - also got photo. of the Crest-tailed mulgara, a
little rare. (& 2 new reptiles for me).

Always carry your camera!! - missed photo. of Noisy friarbird feeding young
in friend's garden yesterday.
                                           - Hider St., Weston. Hope they
are still there next week. Wishful thinking.

Happy New Year to all,

Steve.
