Students of bird behaviour or ecological niches might be interested in a photo I just posted at

taken in eucalypt forest at Guy Fawkes River National Park north-east of Armidale.

 

In the one photo it shows both species feeding in adjacent trees: one smooth-barked and one rough-barked reflecting their accepted preferences.  I thought it was a nice example.
