The "Birds of the ACT" Guide says Owlet Nightjars are solitary birds - so I guess this is probably a pair of youngsters ...

Others at Campbell Park during a brief visit this afternoon included Speckled Warblers and White-throated Gerygones ...

There was also a bit of a kerfuffle going on between some magpies and a raptor of some sort ... the latter flew off as I tried to approach, probably to the great relief of this lizard that then promptly scampered up a tree from the site of all the activity ...
