Intermediate Egret Nerang Pool

There was an Intermediate Egret in the Nerang Pool (Commonwealth Prk) this morning. (It may have been the same bird seen there on the 17th.)
It looks as if its acquiring? breeding plumage, but the bill is yellow.

Also, off one of the inlets a Great Cormorant was struggling (like Geoffrey Dabb's Darter on 11 Dec "Carpe Diem" posting)  to swallow a too-large fish - which it eventually abandoned.
