While my car was being serviced yesterday I did a brisk foray around the Fyshwick Sewage Ponds, Kellys and the Creek.

At the sewage ponds there were 5 Pink-eared Ducks on Pond 6.  There were also some horny handed sons of toil (from a lawn service - go figure) spraying around the ponds and possibly as a result most of the ducks seemed very nervous.  Thus I couldn't pick up any Freckled Ducks (although Roger Williams had seen some a little earlier).

Heading out to Fulica hide the creek had a lot of exposed mud.  The remaining water was enhanced with 7 Great Egrets, 2 Australian White Ibis and 2 White-faced Herons.

At Kelly's the most interesting bird was a single Intermediate Egret hunting opposite Cygnus hide.  It was noticeable that the water level in the swamp was a lot higher than in the recent past: presumably the sluice has been shut while the Lake level is low.
