Have been travelling for a while, and for some blessed relief from the pain of bashing my head against a recalcitrant spreadsheet today, I popped over to a neighbour's place in Campbell to see this little family of Tawny Frogmouths. Another adult was a few feet away on the same limb.

Emacs!

My suspicion is that its the same TFs that were using an old White-winged Chough mud-nest, about 300m away. I checked that nest on Saturday but was obviously too late - the family was gone!
