Sunday 4th December Kama Nature Reserve
I will be leading a walk at the Kama Nature Reserve from 8:00 am on Sunday 4th December. The area has been visited regularly since 2006 as part of the COG woodland survey of the threatened Yellow Box/Red Gum community, is now a new addition to the Canberra Nature Park and well worth a visit.
The meeting place can be found off William Hovell Drive, see Yellow Pages, Map 14, A8. Parking can be a problem. If heading north along William Hovell Drive then park at the Kama sign and walk across the road to the meeting spot. If heading south along William Hovell Drive then turn sharp right just before the underpass and into the designated carpark. This is where we will meet as we will enter the Reserve via the underpass. If this is all rather confusing please give me a call (Tel 62546324).
Sturdy boots, water and sun hat will be required.
