Found a pair of Glossies quietly preening and feeding in a Drooping Sheoak at the Majura summit, about 1130hrs. Other things included an Owlet-nightjar heard on the way up, White-eared Honeyeater, Leaden Flycatcher, Sacred Kingfisher and Grey Currawong. Herps included a large, almost too close-for-comfort Eastern Brown Snake, Cunningham’s Skink and Jacky Dragon. 14 spp of butterfly, among them Tailed Emperor, Dainty Swallowtail, Heath and Montane Ochres, Bronze Flat, Long-tailed Pea-Blue, Imperial and Spotted Jezebels, and squillions of Common Browns.

Cheers

Steve
