Yesterday, at Callum Brae, entering from Narrabundah Lane, we first saw
Butcher bird feeding young
Kookaburra exiting nest
Kestrels with young
2 juvenile black shouldered kites. We had been seeing a parent watching
from the top of a tall dead tree for weeks. Never picked up nest but know
know
where it is, I think
Further on, near gully
Grey fantail on nest
Weebills on nest
Striated pardalotes going into hole in dead tree--kestrel tree
Three spotted pardalotes going into holes in in bank
Many wood swallows in various stages of nesting
Black faced cuckoo shrike on nest
Adult kestrel, and youngster still around, from earlier nesting
Two dollar birds not showing us where their nest is
Trillers
Red browed firetails
Rufous whistler
Red rumped parrots
Galah presenting a broken off piece of gum leaf to his beloved
Plus usual
And at Botanic Gardens today, common bronzewing on nest
Possibly bower bird nest
