On
Sunday morning 30 October on Urambi Hills I watched what appeared likely as
a family of BFCS at with adults and juveniles. Over about 30 minutes there
was no sign that the adults were feeding the young birds, so I guessed them to
be already independent.

Brown Goshawk this arvo! From: John Leonard [ Sent: Saturday, 12 November 2011 3:57 PM To: Canberra Birds Subject: [canberrabirds] Callum Brae, BFCS breeding Bit quiet there. One interesting sighting was a fully independent immature BFCS. Presumably this indicates mid-winter breeding. Nearby an adult pair looked like they were getting ready to breed again (courtship displays).
