Hello Geoffrey,
Do waterfowl eat Azolla? There is a pair of Black
Swans with three cygnets on the gross pollutant trap pond between Corranderk St
and Nerang Pool. There is no Azolla on the pond and I am
concerned that the cygnets may starve.
A pair of swans had at least two cygnets there last
year but I think they both perished because of lack of suitable food
for them and the wall seemed too high for them to get out to go and find
food. I didn't keep an eye on them as I didn't go that way often enough.
Did you (or anyone else ) see any cygnets there last year and know
what happened to them?
Cheers
Peter
