Excellent Leo.  I refer to our conversation earlier this evening.  You did not mention the new exclusion notices that are now a feature of our wetlands.  These will be a stimulus to the purchase of better-quality telescopes for those interested in monitoring the progress of the p-snipes.  The  notices themselves surely deserve a name, and are likely to be known, in terms of syllabisation,  as ** notices or  *** notices in memory of those taken to be responsible for them (surely not * notices).

At around 6:30pm today (Thurs), all three Painted Snipe were out feeding in the usual area.

This is the first time I have seen the male this week and since that also seems to be the experience of other snipers I though this was worth noting.

Regards,

Leo.
