I spent about 45 minutes in fairly ordinary conditions paddling a small section of the Molonglo at Duntroon today.  The rewards were three occupied Darter nests with male bird sitting, (including one on the Duntroon side), one nest under construction by a female, one nest occupied by a female bird with three young ones.  Also a single occupied Little Pied Cormorant nest.  Bird numbers were about 12 each of Darters and LPC, with 4 or 5 Great Cormorants also in the vicinity.

Cheers
