Browsing the Gang Gang
that arrived in the (snail) mail today, I noted Jack's comment
about the absence of Leaden Flycatcher reports thus far. Which
reminded me that I actually spotted the first of that species (a
female, surprisingly) up at the Pinnacle exactly a week ago
(September 29th). Not seen or heard since.
In other Pinnacle news, two of the three Tawny Frogmouth pairs
I've been watching now have chicks large enough to be clearly
visible (just one chick in each case), and the very elusive Owlet
Nightjar made a brief public appearance at one of its roosts a
couple of weeks back.

walk I'll be leading on October 23rd. See
