I have seen a report (somewhere) of a very large flock of Black-shouldered Kites at Kama in the recent past, but cannot recall where the message originated.  There has been a group of 6 on the Hoskinstown Plain recently, roosting at a couple of properties.  However this evening I was told by a neighbour whose property overlooks the Plain that he had 14 Kites in a single tree.  By the time I got down there the birds were dispersing somewhat but at least 10 were visible in a few trees.  A photo was taken of the group of 14 and will be provided shortly.
