Superb Parrots again

Belconnen is being blessed with these beautiful birds at the moment. Just after nine this morning, three, then 26, streamed over my garden in Page, calling and heading SW. I promptly dropped the domestic chores and pursued them. Checked out all the known locations: Hawker ovals; Hawker college grounds; Hawker Primary School; the Pinnacle – to no avail. I suspect they went on further towards the Molonglo – or? Six more over the garden, heading in the same direction, a few minutes ago. The trip to the Pinnacle threw up something of interest though – copulating kestrels. And fairly direct and no-nonsense he was about it, too. And a maggie was shredding yet another mouse. b
