People may be sick of Superb Parrot sightings.
There were 34 Superb parrots at Hawker softball ovals Sunday afternoon
(4/9). The most I have seen in Hawker. All were adults as far as I could
tell with half being male. They were feeding on the ground. Quite late
at dusk they roosted in the tall trees West of the ovals (mainly
casuarinas, bluegums and E.viminalis- ribbon gum). There were also 106
red rumped parrots, lots of galahs and eastern rosellas, 2 rainbow
lorikeets, 5 welcome swallows. A few striated and spotted pardalotes.
