Having a few minutes to spare today I went to check out the Satin bowerbird bower near Tom Green's seat at ANBG today. I was treated to an excellent display by an immature male. My guess, from reading HANZAB about 'bare parts' as well as Geoffrey Dabb's very helpful comments is that this is a 6th year male. I have put some (variable - from poor to abysmal - quality) images and a few merry quips on my blog http://franmart.blogspot.com/2011/08/satin-bowerbird-gets-ready-for-lanigans.html
