The exciting observation in this area - basically along the main track above Campbell Park Offices towards the track up to the saddle - was a group of about 6 Varied Sittellas and hearing my first Western Gerygone of the season.
As a potentially interesting site there were some flowering Red Ironbarks just below the track about 600m past the back of the pistol club. This might (note the weasel word) be a spot for some some unusual honeyeaters although none were evident there today.
