A pleasant but rel. quiet morning (26. June) for the woodland survey on the lower eastern slopes of Mt Ainslie: both species of Pardalote in small numbers widespread, Brown-headed Honeyeaters twice, 1 male Golden Whistler. 2 MFF, but only one at a survey site (SS) with 10 species, the other one with 12 species. Each MFF included Speckled Warblers. Notable,  outside a SS, a group of 24 Superb Fairy-wrens in stands of Saffron Thistle, with another 9 only 30 m away in the same type of vegetation.
