After not having seen Rainbow Lorikeets in Canberra for a long time, we have now seen two pairs in two days. Well, today's pair could possibly be the same pair as yesterday, as they were only a couple of kilometres from yesterday's sighting. This pair were in a tree in the garden of a house about half way along Dennis Street in Garran, about 8:30 this morning.

Just after midday today. A pair of Rainbow Lorikeets in the Eucalypts on the western side of Melrose Drive just south of the Launceston St intersection. Didn't get a good look at them but the calls as they flew off were unmistakable.
