Unlikely though it seems, an interstate birder has sent photos of a Spangled Drongo, apparently seen this month at Wanniassa Hills nature reserve, behind the houses in Jackie Howe Cres, Macarthur. Might be worth a look if you live in the vicinity. While there have been endorsed records of the species in recent years, they have all been in summer. A winter record would be quite extraordinary. b
